Several types of Lactaid milk are being recalled in multiple U.S. states, including New Jersey.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the reason for the recall is that the units of milk may contain trace amounts of almond, which is an undeclared album.
The company behind the recall, HP Hood LLC, is recalling all 96-ounce containers of Lactaid whole milk, fat-free milk, 2% milk, 1% milk, and 2% Calcium Enriched milk shipped to retailers and wholesalers between 09/05/24 and 09/18/24.
No illnesses have been reported as a result of this recall as of Monday, according to the FDA.
Manufacturers discovered the issue during routine maintenance programs that discovered trace amounts of almonds in the products.
The units affected by the recall include the code 51-4109 P2 labeled on the plastic containers, and were shipped to the following states between Sept.5-18, 2024:

Consumers who have these milk products in their refrigerators are encouraged to return them to their places of purchase for a full refund or exchange.
